Garden Power Hour to answer questions on design issues or plants

Looking to make a few tweaks to your garden but not ready or looking to commit to a full garden design? Or just looking for ideas to get you started then a Power Hour, priced at £99 maybe the best place to start.

Example topics could include,

Stepover apples - using trained fruit in planting design
  • A few planting ideas to hide the shed or draw the eye away from it, to stop it from being the focal point.
  • Three to five planting ideas to add colour to a shady corner.
  •  Adding seasonal colour to pots.
  • Three to five ideas for adding winter colour to a border (should the border or garden need year round colour adding to it then the planting design service would be more suitable).
  • Where should I go to buy fruit trees or new plant pots.
  • These two areas of the garden don’t link together but I’m not sure why.

How does it work?

  • After contacting me I will send you a short questionnaire to fill in about the top one to three issue you’d like to discuss.
  • Along with returning the questionnaire you can either send me a few photos to illustrate the garden area or you’re welcome to show me round your garden when we connect online.
  • I will also send out a meeting invite, which will be conducted via Zoom. (If you’re local to York and would prefer to meet in person there would be an additional travel cost, which I’m happy to discuss with you.)
  • We will then aim to get through as much as possible in the hour (you’re welcome to book further follow on sessions if you have more burning questions).

What it’s not

  • This doesn’t replace the garden or planting design services, however it may well clarify which option is best for you.
  • It won’t cover detailed construction information, this is area where I need to complete detailed drawings and then have a site discussion with you and the landscaper to confirm we’re all happy with the solution.
