Camilla Grayley Garden Design is based in York, working in partnership with clients predominantly in the York, Leeds, Wetherby, Harrogate and throughout Yorkshire. Designs have been undertaken throughout the UK, and as far afield as London, Surrey and Bath.
Whether you have inherited a garden you want to make your own or you would like to refresh an existing one Camilla Grayley Garden Design will work with you. Don’t be daunted by size, I will collaborate to give your small courtyard the wow factor or break your country garden down into manageable areas.
Design Approach
I see any design as a collaboration, after all it is your garden and a space to enjoy for years to come. One where your input is important to me and we will take our time getting it right. All gardens are designed to fulfil your needs, taking into account the site, the use of the space, and your likes.
Design Philosophy
I enjoy creating gardens with strong architectural shapes and soft informal planting but most of all I enjoy coming up with creative solutions to help you make the most of any outdoor space. Any design should be in response not just to the garden itself but how it links back to the house and the surrounding landscape.
Sustainability is an important consideration in any design, particularly when choosing the materials to use in your garden, even down to whether they can be recycled or reused when they reach the end of their life in your garden.
Plants are my passion, having greenery to enjoy has been proven to be important for both physical and mental health, even down to a few plants in the front garden. Not to mention how important they are to the environment too. Which is why I see spending time researching and choosing the right plants for your garden as a key element of the design process.
I can assist you with any part of the garden design process, from a full garden design process, planting designs, garden consultations (help pulling all your ideas together, what to plant in problem areas or linking several parts of the garden together) and project monitoring, please feel free to get in contact with any questions you may have.
